All students are expected to wear clothing that is appropriate for school. Cabarrus County Board of Education specifies that each student must come to school appropriately dressed in clothing that is not disruptive to the educational process and does not endanger the health and safety of others. (See Policy 4316 Student Dress Code ). The board believes that the dress and personal appearance of students greatly affect their academic performance and their interaction with other students. The board requests that parents outfit their children in clothing that is conducive to learning. Generally, dress and grooming standards as determined by the student and his or her parents will be deemed acceptable. Cabarrus County Schools dress code guidelines can be found here (page 22 ).
*All students who do not follow clothing guidelines will either call home for a change of clothes or borrow clothes from the Charles E. Boger Clothing Closet.
